PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The T3W Modernization project is a design-build, 589,000 sf renovation within the footprint of the existing T3 Terminal that includes a seismic retrofit to Terminal 3 West and the F Connector, as well as satisfy the BICE commitment letters within both Terminal 3 East and West. T3W also includes upgrades and the replacement old building systems deemed to be at the end of their life in order to improve operational functionality and efficiency such as building automation, life safety, HVAC systems etc. Another aspect of T3W is the goal to enhance revenue opportunities by extending the exceptional Boarding Area E and Terminal 3 East passenger experience.

SERVICE DESCRIPTION

HCI’ provided MEP Management services for the PMSS/SFO team on the T3W project which includes coordination and management of all MEP design and coordination on the project. The duties of the MEP managers includes but is not limited to managing the contractors implementation of the MEP scopes of work in addition to assuring SFO standards and requirements are implemented.

In addition to being the MEP Manager on the T3W project, HCI was also the 3rd party estimator that develops parallel estimates against the general contractors on the project. Our team developed and managed all cost related items on the project that includes but is not limited to overall project cost, change orders, and projected cost. In addition to cost estimating, HCI worked with the team to develop value engineering strategies in addition to leading the targeted value engineering efforts on the project.
