Hollins Consulting, Inc (HCI) is an African-American owned construction and project management consulting firm established in 2008. We provide project management, construction management, owner’s representative and cost estimating services for complex buildings and infrastructure projects.


HCI is staffed with professional engineers, architects, project managers, cost estimators and construction managers with a unique mix of public and private sector development project experience. We specialize in strategic planning, entitlements, permitting, pre-construction and project delivery to support small and large-scale developments. Our work often involves a high level of stakeholder and interagency engagement and end-to-end management of architects, engineers, general contractors and key subcontractors. HCI is proud to have represented our clients in the delivery of over $8 billion of transportation, corporate office (core/shell and tenant improvements), campus-wide renovations and expansions, hospitals, laboratory and research facilities, convention centers, airports, museums, parks & cultural institutions, utility infrastructure and open space in San Francisco and the Bay Area.

Guy Hollins has over 22 years of program and construction management experience with mixed use infrastructure projects in San Francisco. He has successfully navigated roles as owner’s representative, infrastructure and permit coordinator, utility coordinator and City liaison for a number of major infrastructure projects in San Francisco.

Brook Mebrahtu has over 27 years of experience Owner’s Representative, Senior Project Manager and Construction Manager leading some of the most challenging, complex and high-profile projects in San Francisco. Brook is an experienced leader in the construction industry with proven results and has been recognized with numerous awards by SPUR, CMAA and others. He understands the importance of collaboration and consensus building with project teams, in order to deliver the highest quality projects for his clients.

Kris Kyle
Pre-construction, Estimating, MEP

Kris Kyle has over 24 years of experience in the construction industry, having served in senior capacities as a sub-contractor, general contractor and owners’ representative. This diverse experience within the construction industry gives Kris a unique perspective on the development and delivery of projects. Kris leads HCI’s pre-construction efforts from large to small scale projects.
